Choose how long you need the address

An inbox that works for one permitted test may be unsuitable for an account you need to recover next year. Choose persistence first, then decide how much separation you want from your everyday mailbox.

OptionAppropriate useMain limitation
Temporary inboxA non-sensitive delivery test or one-time receipt when disposable addresses are permitted.Website access expires after about one hour. Sender acceptance and message delivery are not guaranteed.
A persistent email aliasSeparate permitted messages while keeping them connected to a mailbox you control.Availability, forwarding, recovery, and deletion depend on the alias provider.
A permanent mailboxPurchases, paid services, employment, and accounts with lasting recovery needs. You must maintain access, recovery methods, and account security.

A permitted test workflow

  1. Create an address and copy it into an application or mail system you own or are authorized to test.
  2. Send a short, non-sensitive message with a recognizable subject. Creating the address is only the first step.
  3. Use Refresh, open the received message, and compare the sender, subject, and body with what you sent.
  4. If it does not arrive, inspect the sender's delivery result and disposable-domain rules. Use an accepted permanent address when persistence is required.

Temporary mail here receives messages; it does not send replies. Follow the receiving service's rules and do not use it to evade account limits or identity checks.

Access and provider-held data

Anvil Tools uses Guerrilla Mail through its backend. The provider processes messages and ordinary connection information. Website access expiry and switching addresses are separate from the provider's handling of existing messages; neither proves immediate deletion. Read the privacy policy, visit Guerrilla Mail's provider information, and use the temporary-email guide to plan recovery and troubleshoot delivery.

Separate acceptance, arrival, and reading

Record the sending application’s acceptance, arrival in the inbox, and expected sender, subject, and reader text. A welcome message is not an external delivery test. Read the provider FAQ and privacy practices and terms. Website access expiry and provider retention are separate.
